Verda, from the Old Norse, to be or to become, is a London-based studio working at the intersection of interior design and architecture. We believe that the most enduring spaces are those that resist the moment they were made in: rooted in craft and history, yet restless with possibility.

Every project begins as an act of listening. We immerse ourselves in context, the grain of a stone wall, the cadence of a city street, the way light moves through a client's life. From that understanding, we develop spaces and objects that could not exist anywhere else, for anyone else.

Our furniture is bespoke, our detailing is obsessive, and our ambition is singular: to leave behind spaces with identities so strong they become irreplaceable.

Every object, surface and installation we create begins with a single client, a single site, and a problem that has never been solved in quite the same way before. Our studio and maker network spans patinated metalwork, hand-worked stone, cast glass, woven textiles and structural joinery. We draw on these disciplines not as a menu, but as a material vocabulary selecting and combining them in response to the specific conditions of each project.
